Matilda Film Review

This is a review about a film called Matilda. It's for kids and young adults  to watch. This film teaches children to be more educated. It also teaches us good lessons to not neglect our children. This film is about Matilda Wormwood an intelligent child and bookworm. She lives with her wicked parents Harry and Zinnia Wormwood. This film is based on the book by Roald Dahl and directed by Danny Devito.

Matilda Wormwood(Mara Wilson) an intelligent child lives with her mean parents and bully brother(Danny Devito, Rhea Perlman and Brian Levinson). They think Matilda is an old hag who should watch more tv and read fewer books. Her parents send her to Crunchumhall Primary school where she has a lovely teacher called Miss Honey(Embeth Davidz) and cruel headmistress on earth(Pam Ferris). Matilda begins to discover that she has telekinetic powers.

This film was amazing. The performance was good. But I think some of the actors need to improve a little bit. The director was the same person that acted out the role of Harry Wormwood. It's just impossible that the the director can't direct and act at the same time. And the actress that played Miss Honey was good. I mean in the book she was wearing glasses all the time but in the film she only wore glasses when she read.

I think the fim was amazing you should either watch it online or on dvd. There are dvds available now in the stores and libraries.

The Cheesecake Factory

Cheesecake Factory is a not just a place where you order cheesecakes but also other things as well. I went there for the first time. I felt like this place was a palace. There are also some good seats there. The food we ordered on the menu was delicious. I ordered a chocolate cheesecake hersleys. I couldn't stop staring at it. Imagine you were the cheesecake and my mouth was watering everytime I look at you. I feel like I'm on an adventure as I'm eating you. Now you're in my stomach! Okay it's my turn now. I'm the cheesecake and you're me. You feel hungry eveytime you look at me and everytime you think of me. I'm your favourite food! Now I'm in your stomach!

My Birthday

I just turned 15 and I had a wonderful birthday. I ate pancakes for breakfast. I did book shopping. I went to the borders bookshop in Deira City Centre. Before I went book shopping I went on goodreads.com and went to the to-read section and chose as many books as I wanted. There was some I was dying to read for ages. I only found one book which was 'shopaholic ties the knot'. I couldn't find the others. I asked the shop owner about it he searched everywhere and he said that they don't sell these books. Oh yeah, I haven't told you about the treasure hunt yet. I woke up and I found notes from my bed to the fridge on the cupcake container. That was bad news that I didn't find the other books. But anyway I was happy that I bought two new dresses, one from 'max' and one from 'Next'. We went to a cafe in Sahara centre. Sorry I don't remember exactly which cafe we went. We had fun anyways. I went on facebook and 14 people who is my friend on facebook wrote on my facebook timeline wishing me a happy birthday. I wrote them a reply of thanks.

It is also the times where we spend time with our families and friends. If you get a present for anybody like clothes, shoes or anything it is Mustahab to wear or use them in Eid. Eid is a time where we get together  and pray salatul Eid together with our family. It is a time of blessing. All your prayers are answered.

Good and Evil

Here are things between good and evil. We people are different. There are evil people in real life. We just want to know the difference between good people and evil people and what they do.
Good people are sweet, kind, friendly, brave, honest, generous, wise, clever, helpful and easy.
Evil people are snobs, boss people around, selfish, difficult to deal with, cowards, tell lies and bully others.
We should be kind and polite to good people and stay away from evil people to prevent getting bullied by them. Good people get rewarded and go to paradise(jenna) and evil people get punished and go to hell(jahannem). I'm not just talking just about good people and evil people I'm also talking about us. We all make mistakes. The ones who doesn't make mistakes are called masumin. We have angels called karmal katibeen. We have one on the right side that writes down all our good and the another one on the left side that writes down all our bad deeds. We should always try our best to do good deeds and prevent doing the bad ones. There will be a day of judgement. We will find out how well we did on our deeds. It will be a report day at school. A recording like a video will be shown to us of our whole life and we have explain everything we did. For our good deeds we will be rewarded and for our bad deeds we will be punished.

Music and its Effect

Why is music Haram. Because if you go to parties that have loud music or discos you begin to lose control of
your nafs and forget Allah. We all want to know which music is Halaal and Haraam. Now let me just give you an example. If your friend invites you to his or her you're not sure if you're going or not because it has something to do with music. Well ask your parents if you could go. Just give them time to think about it. You're definitely sure that they're going to say no if your friend's party has some loud music and alcohol. It's not just about music it's also about singing and dancing with the music. If your parents finds out that the music
is Haraam then that's a definitely a no. You're not going to sit there not joining the dancing and singing club with your friends and sit there just eat and do nothing about it. You're going to sit relaxed at home. I'm not joking really. It is Haraam to go to your friend's parties even if you're not going to dance and sing with your friends. If you friend forced you to come than argue with him or her and say no. Your parents forbidded you to go and you've got nothing to do about it.

Background music is some type of music they use in different scenes of each movie. It does not mean that listening to music in the background, i.e. leaving it on while you do your homework, or lowering the volume so that you can have a conversion in the background, whether in a car, a restaurant or at home. This type is music is Haraam and should be avoided.

Classical music is some soft soothing music that you can listen to when you are angry, sad, scared or having trouble going to sleep. Well get cracking. Just go and search on google and choose a classical music that you want to listen to if you are in this mood just to calm you down.

Ramadan

Ramadan is the nineth month of the Islamic calendar. It's also the holy month that we fast in, read quran and dua and other things too. We always do a Ramadan table every year so we can do good deeds and erase the bad ones that we did. Some people just do good deeds but then after Ramadan and in Eid they start making trouble and ruining everything. We wouldn't want to do that. Here are the list of things that we should
do or not do that most of us have in our Ramadan table:

  1. Always fast starting from dawn till sunset.
  2. Be polite to others, especially to family and friends.
  3. Behave yourselves, don't cause so much trouble especially if you're a troublemaker.
  4. Control your anger.
  5. Be honest, don't tell lies
  6. Don't backbite about anyone.
  7. Read one jusu quran each day.
  8. Do wudhoo before going to sleep
  9. Pray on time
  10. Learn stuff about Islam
  11. Don't watch or listen to anything that is Haram.
  12. Pray salatul Layl before going to sleep.

The things that are mustahab are Salatul Layl, reading quran dua and so on.
The things that are makruh are praying salah in front of the mirror or picture, blowing your food when it's hot and so on.
That things that are jaiz is anything you can do in your free time like, reading, eating fruit and so on.
There are also five pillars of islam which are Usool. Which are:

Milshakes

I'm  a milkshake expert! I don't just like drinking milkshakes I also like making them. There are different flavours which are vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, banana and many other types. My favourite is chocolate. I always drink it whenever we go to cafes. I've also tasted other flavours that are listed here. I've tasted the vanilla one in 'Shakespere' cafe. But I prefered the chocolate one more yummier than vanilla and other flavours. In 'cafe nero' their milkshakes are awesome! My mum made us strawberry milkshake. She uses frozen strawberries to make them. I've also made the chocolate one at home. It was amazing! It tasted exactly like the one in cafes. Also for the first time in my life I've made a chocolate milkshake all by myself. At first, I was afraid that it won't turn out good like last time when I made it with the help of my sister. So I prayed and I tasted it. It was delicious! For those who haven't tasted milshake in their lives you should taste one and I'm certainly sure that most of you will love it just like me. If you want to taste one either go to a cafe
and order one or come to my house and I'll make you one.

My Trip to New York

I've planned this trip ages ago. I also made a wish that I could there. I keep on wishing for it so it can happen and I hope it will. For the first time I could go with my oldest sister, Khamael and the second time I could go alone. It will be fun. It's a good idea that the first time I could have somebody with me so if I go there for the second time I feel safe because I had somebody with me the last time. New York is a big city and it's easy to get lost so you should always bring a map with you. It's also a not a very safe place because there are lots of robbers there so you should take care of your things, especially yourself. Not everyone is nice so we shouldn't talk to strangers unless they're nice. It's also the city that never sleeps because most of the shops are open at night, including restraunts and cafes. So you could go out anytime you like even at night if you feel like it. I've seen the movie, 'Home Alone 2 Lost in New York', and I've read the book 'Shopaholic Takes Manhattan'. There are good places to go but I'm not sure if some of them exists in real life or not.

I'm always thinking about what I'm going to do there. I could eat at a fancy restraunt or cafe, go to a cinema or theatre to watch a movie or a play, take a stroll in Central park, go shopping and so on.
I daydreamed last time that I was drinking milkshakes in 'cafe Nero' with my sister, Khamael in New York and an Italian American guy who owned the cafe was much more funnier and outgoing than the Nigerian one in Dubai. He always smiled and kept cracking up jokes that can't stop yourself laughing. I hope we'll go there soon and I wish it will be the same guy  as I imagined him.

Minnie Alone

Once there was a young 10 year old girl called Minnie. She live with her mom and her two older sisters called Mary and Dora, who were aged 16 and 14. They weren't very good sisters because they used to bully Minnie so much by teasing her and calling her names. Dora was the most meaniest sister of all. She used to smack Minnie a lot and the things she did wrong Minnie gets blamed for it. Minnie hated them so much that she wishes she was the only child. She hated doing work so much apart from homework.
Her family used to boss her around so much that she wished she was home alone.

One day Minnie was in her room drawing sketches. Her mother came up to her and said,
''Minnie, we're going to our friends' party tonight, you're to stay at home and do all your homework and housework, understand?''
''Yes mum,'' Minnie replied.
At night all the family except Minnie went to their friends' party. So Minnie was left alone. She really liked it. She jumped in her bed in excitement shouting,
''Yess! Finally I'm home alone!''  She put on some loud music and danced happily. Then she remembered her house rule her mom had given her. She had to do the work she was given first. She wasn't supposed to answer the phone or the door unless it was her family. And maybe in anytime her mum is going to call to check on her.
Minnie did all the house rules. She started with her homework first then she did the housework. By the time it was dinner Minnie finished her work. She was free at last! She ate an appetising dinner.
''Mum's going to be so impressed if she finds our house so clean and tidy and my homework all done,'' Minnie thought.
By the time Minnie went to bed she heard her family come back from their friends' party. According to Minnie, her mom was impressed when she found out her work was done. She gave Minnie a goodnight hug and kiss.

Death of a pet

Once there lived a girl called Andy Mophett. She used to have two cats named Funny and Tappy. One of them is named Funny because he used to make funny faces whenever he tried to get everyone's attention. The other one was named Tappy because she used to like dancing so much. Whenever she heard some melodous music she goes tap tap with her feet.

One day Andy taught Funny some tricks. She started jumping around and making some funny noises which made Andy chuckle. This made the other cat, Tappy jealous.
''Come on boy, sit,'' said Andy to Funny. Funny sat.
''Fetch the ball Funny,'' said Andy. Funny fetched a large red ball. They played catch with it and some other games. Tappy was feeling a bit left out so she tap tapped on her own. She tried to get Andy's attention but she was too busy practising her tricks with Funny.
Five minutes later, Tappy wasn't feeling very well so she couldn't move her feet anymore. Andy went up to her.
''Tappy, are you okay?'' she asked. Suddenly she wasn't moving anymore.
''Tappy, Tappy!'' Andy shouted,''are you okay?'' But still Tappy didn't reply.
''Mom, Tappy isn't feeling very well,'' Andy said.
''Why, what's wrong with her?'' asked her mother.
''She was okay a few minutes ago mom, I didn't notice her because I was busy practising with Funny.''
''Then what happened?''
''I suddenly heard a strange noise so I turned around and then I saw Tappy. She wasn't even moving.''
''I think we should take her to the vet,'' mom sighed.

A few minutes later, Andy and her mom took Tappy to the vet so they left Funny at home. Funny felt sorry for Andy and Tappy. He and Tappy used to be best friends but they became jealous of each other whenever they take each other's attention. The vet checked on Tappy.
''I'm afraid your cat is gone now,'' said the vet sadly.
''What? Do you mean she's dead?'' asked Andy shocked.
''Yes, I'm afraid so,'' replied the vet.
As Andy and her mom got home they arranged a funeral for Tappy. Funny felt sorry for his owner Andy because he saw her crying. Andy felt like this is the end of the world. Tappy was dead! Mrs. Mophett patted her crying daughter.
''Don't worry sweetheart, I felt the same way as you when my fish died,'' she said.
Andy, her mom and Funny put some roses on Tappy's grave. Andy put a letter which said, 'you've been a good pet to me' and Funny put, 'you're my best friend forever' and Mrs. Mophett  put, 'a good to my daughter, Andy.'
''Tappy, I'll never forget you,'' said Andy.
When Andy went to bed she couldn't sleep. She kept thinking about Tappy and how she was happy and comfortable in cuddling with both Funny and Tappy. Now she has only one cat and the other cat is gone forever!

Can you guess what that is?

You can wear her on your feet. She sometimes can make inconvenient noises. She is not very expensive when you can afford her. She has a pretty style and colour. She can match with any possible colour. E.g. , if you wear a red dress she is the precise colour because she also has a red line. If you run very fast she is swift. If you were deft with her for more than a year she's not going to tear off.  She's also good for sports. If you wear her at a PE class she's very comfortable. You can also wear her at special occasions like parties and weddings. When you dance she'll go tap tap. You would be shocked if you found out that someone annihilated her. You should take good care of her because she belongs to you and not to anyone else. But you can share her with your friends, partners or sisters.

Can you guess what this is

It's a squared shaped thing and it has a roof on top. Outside it has a garage and it has three doors. The front door which opens to the hall, the back door which opens to the kitchen and the basement door. There is also an attic upstairs with one hideabed. It's a huge bed for two people. It looks a bit like the basement but it may not be like it and it might be peculiar to you. There are six rooms. The living room with the television, the guest room, the closet room where there is an aisle, the dining room where you can eat an appetising meal and two bedrooms.

The Haunted Room

I held my breath and waited. I was sitting in an unfamiliar room with lots of posters and closets. I waited till somebody came. The room was locked and the key was lost. I didn't know what to do. Suddenly, the window fell open. The wind flew and papers flew like airplanes all around the room. A black cat came and ate the papers and posters. This cat hadn't eaten the whole paper it just chewed and dropped it. I screamed. I tried to call for help nobody heard me. Then all of a sudden, the closet opened a crack. A pencil was alive. It was huge! It had long sharp claws. I hid behind the door. The door slowly began to unlock. Nobody was standing outside in the doorway.

''Hello,'' said a voice.
''Who are you?'' I said shivering.
''I am the ghost of crime,'' replied the voice.
I stood there beside the door unable to speak.
''What do you want?'' I asked.
''Follow me,'' said the ghost. I followed him outside. He took me to a room full of old junk. The ghost took out a coin.
''Look at this, I heard about you playing with it,'' the ghost said showing me the coin.
''But I never touched it, I never came near it,'' I said.
''Well of course you have. One person I know saw you. You were playing 'heads and 'tails with it.''
Is he kidding me or something? I never touched that stupid coin, I thought. The ghost disappeared. I went back to my old room and thought things over. Suddenly a paper flew at me. It said,
'Huda has been using this gold coin since she started school. She took it to school with her and showed it to her friends. At break time she played 'heads and 'tails with it. Regards Ben Wenwolf, ghost of crime.' I went to my drawers and opened it. There was the coin Ben the ghost had been talking about. The ghost never appeared again. I took out the coin.
''This is mine now, I'm going to spend it as my money,'' I said to myself. So I took out my purse and placed the coin in.

Arthur The Cartoon Character

Sunday May 1st
Dw, my younger sister, kept pestering me. I kept on telling her to shut up she wouldn't. So I told mom. She said that I should totally ignore my bratty sister. Pal, my dog, kept licking my face. It just tickles so much that I couldn't stop laughing. I badly wanted to go to the library to get some books but it isn't open untill Monday so now I'm locked up in my own house and I just don't know what to do because my friends are all busy doing their homework. Actually, all of us are busy so we're not allowed to go anywhere till we're finished with our homework. I hate homework. It's so boring and tiring. But anyway, I take a bit of a break. Mr.Ratburn, our teacher, is very tough and strict. He gives us a lot of hard work.

Monday May 3rd
I went to school today. Everybody in my class was complaining about yesterday's homework and how they were struggling with it. I don't understand why Mr.Ratburn gives us so much homework over the weekends especially on the holidays. They were also complaining about their parents not helping them. I kept asking them why they didn't call me so I could come over to their house and help them. They just don't care about other students helping them which isn't fair. I'm happy because my homework was easy for me and even if I'm struggling with it I ask my parents to help me. They understand everything so they do. I asked Buster, my best buddy, if he could come over to my house after school but he wasn't sure about it because we may have a lot of homework to catch up with. He just wanted to play some video games with me. After I finished with my homework I sneaked outside while everyone else was asleep to the 'sugar bowl' all by myself. I ordered a strawberry milkshake. When I came back home I never told anyone about it including Dw.

My Mother

My mother is the sweetiest mother in the whole world. She's a nice cook. She even takes care of us properly. Whenever something is bothering me I go and tell her. And we'll talk things over then I get better.
Sometimes I make her angry and I hurt her feelings. But I didn't mean to do that so I'm always asking her to forgive me on any mistakes I've done to hurt her feelings. She's also a great teacher and helper. Whenever I'm struggling with my homework I go to her. She explains it so well. I feel good because when I'm doing difficult work she makes my life easy. We do classes together. Her teaching is accurate. She really enjoys teaching students especially me. But she likes teaching me the best. Other times I feel sorry for her whenever something is bothering her so I go and pat her and tell her not to worry. All  us three hate chores but helping your mother isn't the most boring thing. I make her green tea, I wash the dishes and I clean the house. I enjoy sleeping with her. She sleeps like an angel mom. You'll never find a funner mom than mine.

Jill and the Cornstalk

I wrote a fractured fairytale of 'Jack and the beanstalk'. I hope you'll crack up laughing as you read this.

Narrator: Once upon a time there lived a girl called Jill. She lived with her dad and two brothers Andrew and Jay. They were a poor family. All they had was a sheep.

Jill's dad: Jill, please go and sell this sheep. We haven't got enough food to eat.

Narrator: So Jill went and sold this sheep. There was an old man selling corn.
Jill: Hi sir, can I please have these corn?
Old man: Yes, please.
Narrator: Jill took the corn and replaced it with the sheep and ran home. Jill's dad wasn't happy at all when he saw the corn.
Jill's dad: You should've at least bought something cheaper than this stupid corn( takes the corn from Jill's hand angrily and throws it out of the window).
Andrew: This is all your fault Jill, you made us poor. That's why we told you to sell this damn sheep.
Jay: And now you bring us this crap corn.

Narrator: The next morning,Jill woke up. She saw a huge thing growing. Jill looked out from her window. She saw a huge corn and she couldn't believe it.
Jill: ( realizes it's a magic corn) Dad, Andrew, Jay, you have to come and see this. ( Nobody replied and came).
Jill: Hello! Guys, didn't you hear me? ( still no reply)I'd rather go outside and climb this thing.
Narrator: Jill went up this huge corn till she reached the top. She saw a huge castle so she opened the door and went inside.
Jill: It's dark in here( turns on the light). Wow, this place is fabulus.
Narrator: Jill suddenly hears a sound and the room starts shaking. It was a giant.
Giant: Who's in there? I hear and smell the blood of a girl. Either she's dead or alive I'm gonna eat her body for breakfast.
Jill: ( starts to shiver and hides behind the fieplace. The giant enters the room. There's a bird).
Giant: Hey little birdie, say cuckoo! ( the bird says cuckoo. Then the giant searches around his room for the girl's body that he wanted to eat for his breakfast).
Jill: ( sees the cuckoo bird and she takes the bird with its cage and runs down the huge corn).
Giant: There she is! I'm gonna get you kid! ( Jill ran down down the huge corn. She saw the giant was about to get down).
Jill: ( to Jay) Can I borrow your gun?
Jay: sure( gives Jill the gun. She shoots. The giant ran up and was never seen again).
Jill's dad: ( looks at the bird) Oh Jill, this is much better than this corn. You made us a happy family. ( gives Jill a hug).

My Challenge

I decided I wanted to do a challenge on not to eat junk food. I'm doing that because of my health. When I first started this challenge I didn't drink pepsi but now I do because I can't help it in a month. I wanted to do it for 3 months but that would be too long for me so I changed it for a month. Instead of eating snacks like chocolate, chips or candy I eat some healthy snacks like peanuts. I'm happy that I can do it. It's not that hard. I can't help looking at the junk food around me because whenever I look at them I feel bad. So I thought it would be a good idea to post this. I'm not eating anything with sugar or chocolate except milk tea and milk shakes. Whenever my older sisters order something junk I keep reminding them that I'm not allowed to eat this. They sometimes don't understand. They keep asking me, ''Why are you doing this challenge anyway?'' But they listen to me and give me something more healthy. If you have done this challenge before you should be proud of yourselves and proud of me too.

The Storm

At night I went to bed very early because the next day I had to wake up early to go to school. That was when this huge storm began and I couldn't sleep. I put my head under the blankets. I was a bit scared even though I'm not afraid of the dark. I roused out of bed and went to the window. Ghadeer came very disturbed. She couldn't sleep either.
''I'm afraid there's a big splattering storm going on here. Your hands are frozen ice, you should have enough blankets to sleep on,'' she said.

I prayed for myself to be safe. I once heard  the news that a flood had started in Dubai mall and the aquarium broke so they were getting it fixed. I tried to slumber in bed I couldn't. I didn't know what to do. I switched on the light of my bedroom, opened my wardrobe to take out my sweater. I put my sweater on and nuzzled in bed. I had to sleep because the next day I had to wake up early for school. The ferocious wind went on howling and the storm was getting bigger and bigger. There was a lot of glacial ice.

I was worried sick about Baba and Khamael. They were taking a walk in this icy storm. Khamael's phone was in her pocket and it was frozen after she took it out of her pocket. I felt gloomy when I heard this news about the flood water that had entered in Dubai mall. I also heard some more bad news. It was about an old woman. She was standing in the middle of this storm. She was heading to Global village and the gates had closed on her so she died much to my dismay. While the storm was hitting I felt so sorry for the people that are fixing the Dubai mall.

The next day at school everyone was talking about this huge storm that has just happened. Some of them thought it was an earthquake. But I was certain that they are wrong. I didn't correct them even though I'm the most clever in the class so the teacher did instead. Earthquakes don't ever happen in Dubai or Sharjah. Those kids are just saying that to be funny.

The Best Thing about my mom

Mother, mother, as yummy as pie.
Your smile is bright.
Your kiss makes me sigh.
Your teeth glistens like light.

Mother, mom, your cooking is great.
Your food is yummy.
Your chores, we hate.
We love the food you put in our tummy.

Your three daughters make your work light.
Your dress is yellow.
When you go out to parties.
You're always the good fellow.

Oh mother, you smell like heaven.
Because when you leave us we're sad.
We never like shopping but our hands work by helping.
Your love will make us mad!

The Ka'ba

The ka'ba is the house of Allah.
I can see lots of people wearing Ihram clothes. Inside the ka'ba, there's a sacred mosque where all people pray. In front of me, I can see a big black square whenever I pray. That's called the ka'ba. I can also see a gold thing called Maqam Ibrahim where I can see the footprints of Prophet Ibrahim. And a white circle called Hijir Ismail. In the Hijir Ismail, I can see some of the people praying there and I can also 'The Hajar Al Aswad'. We couldn't reach it because there were a lot of people so we couldn't squeeze through the crowd. Always around the ka'ba I can see a crowd doing Twaf.

I can hear people saying the takbirat Al Hajj and I can hear people praying and reading quran.

I can smell the perfume of the ka'ba and also the perfume of the Hajar Al Aswad. We have these perfumes.

My feelings towards the ka'ba is I feel like it's a dream and I also felt incredulous when I saw it. It was like I imagined it. I also felt very excited because I saw it on television and now it's right in front of me.

I touched the ka'ba for the first time and I couldn't believe it! After I touched it I looked at my hands and said to myself,''Oh my god, I can't believe I touched the ka'ba. First time in my life.''

The Piano Lady

The Characters Appearance
Suddenly there was a sound of classical music. The other lady looked up. A woman came in. She was holding a piano and she wore round black glasses, a red hat with roses and a reddish ribbon, a white scarf around her neck and a yellow sweater. She wore make-up and red lipstick. She was smiling a teeth smile.

The Characters in Action
The Unusual Competition
The phone rang. The piano lady answered it.
''Hello,'' she said.
''Hi Jenna, there's going to be a music competition coming up today at 5:30 pm. Those who play the best music will win a prize. If you want to win this competition please sign up,'' the other woman said.
''Should I bring my piano then?'' asked Jenna.
''Yes please, but you should sign up first,'' the woman said.
Three hours later, Jenna went to that competition. She placed her piano in a black plastic bag.
When she got there the competition had already began. She was a few minutes late.
She met a girl who was only 17 and she played the saxophone.
''Hi I'm Rose, nice to meet you,'' she said.
''I'm Jenna, nice to meet you too,'' said Jenna.
There was something unusual about this competition. Nobody was clapping or laughing. They had no reactions to the musicians and weren't encouraging them.

Rose's turn was next so she went to the stage and played her saxophone perfectly. Still no applause and no reactions. I've never seen anything like this before, they usually clap, what's wrong with these people?, Jenna thought. Rose's turn was done so she took a bow. Still nobody reacted. Jenna waited and waited till her turn was up. She looked at her watch. It was 7pm and her turn still wasn't up yet.
She went to the lady and asked her.
''I've been waiting for an hour and a half, when will my turn be up?'' she asked.
''Don't worry, you'll be up next in a few minutes time,'' replied the lady. So Jenna went back and waited. Nothing happened. The other man took a bow.
''This is so boring, I hate this competition, this other lady is so dumb. I've been waiting for almost an hour and she said my turn will up next and it still hasn't,'' Jenna said annoyed.
''I don't care I'm going to leave, this is so boring it will never end,'' Jenna went on, '' I couldn't have signed up for that stupid contest it's so tedious!''
At last, Jenna's turn was next so she played her piano very well but she did a little mistake and missed one note.

The competition ended finally but nobody won and got a prize. Rose had played her saxophone successfully she should've won this competition. The other man who took a bow played very perfectly the most so he still didn't win. It was an unusual competition indeed.

Home Alone Movie

I really like this movie. Imagine how would it feel like if you are home alone. It's bad leaving your child behind. I wasn't left alone till I was 13 years old. Most parents are worried when their children are left behind because something bad might happen to them. Now I feel good that I'm living in a safe country with no robbers or any strangers. You know there are lots of burglars in the United Kingdom, United States and Canada and the child's parents would get in trouble if they leave their child at home and not take care of them properly. The government would punish the child's parents by sending their child in a children's home.
The child wouldn't like to be taken in care there with lots of children because they want to live together with their own family.

I first watched the first movie with my sister. It was hilarious. My favourite part was when Kevin saw a shadow of those two burglars so we switched on the light of his whole house even the basement.
The next day at school all of my friends were talking about the same movie that I've just saw. I was so surprised because I didn't know that they liked Home Alone so much. So that means we all watched it at the same time. That was in ICT time when they were talking about it. I wanted to say that I watched it too but it was too late because our form teacher, Miss Johanson told us to be quiet. Home Alone 1 was amazing.
Home Alone 2 was great. This was the one when he went to New York. I want to go there too! I hope my wishes come true so me and my family will all travel to New York. Home Alone 3 okay. It would have been more interesting if they brought back Kevin. It would be a good idea if Kevin and Alex team up so that they can fight the burglars. Home Alone 4 wasn't that bad. It would also be great if they didn't replace the actors. The old actors are better. Home Alone 5. I can't wait to see it. I hope it's on now.

Jacqueline Wilson

Jacqueline Wilson is my favourite author. I read most of her books. They're amazing. My favourite of her books is 'The Story of Tracy Beaker'.
I was in the hall in 'Emirates Festival of Literature'. I saw Jacqueline Wilson. I was with my sister and my two friends. She looked like I imagined her. I was excited and nervous when I first saw her. In  the question time, I wanted to ask her if she was going to write another Tracy Beaker story but it was too late because there were too many people raising their hands and wanted to ask a question too. So I decided I'd better ask her in the book signing. But I forgot so I just said, ''Hi Jacqueline Wilson. Nice to meet you.'' I took a picture with her. You should see my new profile picture on facebook. It's me and the drawing of her.

Being Home Alone

It's very bad leaving your child behind
Because he's going to do a crime.
He's going to wreck things
Because he doesn't know how to rhyme.

Something bad might happen to your child
He'll start to scream
And talk to strangers
Whenever he sees them he'll beam.

He'll have trouble doing things
He'll start to turn yellow
Because he doesn't know where to stand
And he'll start to talk to fellows.

The next time you should be a good parent
It's bad to leave your child in bed
Because he'll cry when he knows you're gone
Some children don't like being home alone so they'll get fed.

The Risky Operation

I sat on my desk in the hospital. I waited and waited till the patient came. I went to the receptionist. Suddenly I heard an ambulance coming.
''There's a little girl who's very ill. Her mom called for an appointment. She needs to do an operation,'' announced the receptionist. I went back to my room number and waited. The receptionist came and gave me the envelope and told me to sign the juvenile's mom's name so I did.

Ten minutes later the door fell open and the nurse and attendant came in.
''Dr. Al Safi, the little girl and her mom just arrived now for their appointment with you. If you could just wait here for ten minutes,'' the nurse declared.
I waited and waited. Finally, a little girl about 4 or 5 years old and her mom came in.
''Hi Dr. Al Safi, look my little girl needs to do an operation. She's having a hindrance with her heart. If you could just check her pulse rate,'' the mom said.
''Attendant, please give me the stethscope,'' I said. The attendant obeiditely went and got the stethscope.
''Here you go doctor,'' the attendant said giving me the stethscope. I thanked her.

I scrutinized the pulse rate of the girl's heart then I examined her anatomy.
''She should eat more and do exercises everyday. She needs vigour,'' I said worriedly.
''She really needs to eat healthy food, you should stop your daughter from eating junk food because it's really bad for her heart,'' I explained.
I told the attendant to go and get the therometer. I checked the girl's temperature. She was hot. I tried touching her forehead. She was having an influenza and had trouble breathing.
''This juvenile needs plenty of sleep now, let's just take a break and let her rest,'' the nurse said.
''She's been up all night playing computer games that's why she's been getting those headaches,'' the mom said shaking her head.

During the operation, as the surgeon was working, I went to the kitchen and got something to eat. It was chicken, potatoes and turnip, my favourite food that I used to eat every week for dinner. I drank water with it.

The next ten minutes, we were back to work. The little girl's eyes were still tightly shut. I scrutinized her eyes. They were fine. I checked the pulse rate of the girl's heart. It was beating again. She was alive! Then slowly she began to open her eyes. She started crying.
''Mommy, Mommy, I'm scared, I hate hospitals so much,'' she whined.
''Don't worry honey, everything will be fine as soon as they check up on you,'' the mom replied.
That made the child happy. We finally solved all the problems she was having. Slowly she was starting to feel better.
''Well  thank you very much,'' the mom said happily.
''You're welcome. I'm afraid your daughter can't walk for a week. She really needs to have some rest after this operation. Attendant, can you please go and fetch a wheelchair for this girl,'' I said.
''Come on little girl, get into this wheelchair,'' the nurse said. The little girl climbed onto the wheelchair.
''Thank you doctor,'' she said politely. I smiled.

The Invisibles

I woke up and I found out my whole body was gone. I tried to scream a sound came out. I couldn't believe it! What if my family are looking for me and they find out I'm indiscernible. If my voice is heard and they can't see where I am they'd feel scared and abscond.

But at least I could see something and hear everyone. I didn't know what to do. I saw a portrayal of myself so I remembered my body and began to cry. Suddenly I heard a scream. What was that?
It was my sister Khamael.
''Oh no, what happened to my little sister?''
''I'm here, I can't see myself either,'' I answered.
''Huda, where are you?'' I didn't know what was going on. Maybe something demonic might have happened to my body. Some devil might have cut my body off. Khamael ran and told mama and Ghadeer about what happened to my body.
''Mama, come to our bedroom now, I can hear Huda's voice but I can't see her anywhere!'' Khamael exclamined.
''What on earth is going on here?'' Baba asked. He was in his and Mama's room working on his computer.
''Huda has just vanished, we can hear her but we can't see her anywhere,'' Mama replied.
I cleared my throat and began to speak.
''Look everyone, I woke up and I also found out my body was gone. I can see and hear you. I saw a picture of myself, I wanted to cry so I did.''
Mama cried, Khamael cried, Ghadeer cried and even I cried. Baba wasn't crying but he looked like he was going to.

At night we went to the jam3a at Khalo's house. Everyone got dressed except me because my body was gone. My wardrobe fell open. My clothes were gone. I didn't take any of my clothes. I was wondering who it was. Only my perfume, books, glasses, bags and shoes were tangible. We all got to Khalo's house. Everyone was there on time. Khalo Hasan had noticed I was invisible. Everyone started noticing too.
So they asked about me.
''I'm here everyone, hello,'' I said.
''Oh no, where is she?''  they asked.
''Look, my daughter had woken up this morning and found out her body was gone. We can hear her but we can't see her anywhere,'' Mama answered.
''Poor Huda,'' Julan said sadily.
''How did she wake up like that?'' Khala Zainab asked.
''I don't know, I have no who took my sister's body,'' Ghadeer said.  They all started crying, even Zanooba cried, the cute little baby girl.
Everyone went to the table to eat dinner except me. I didn't feel like eating. But the food suddenly fell into my mouth.

I woke up the next morning. My body was back. I was visible again. I was so happy I jumped in my bed. Khamael was pleased to see me so she joined me in the bed so were both jumping like crazy. Ghadeer saw us and joined in too.

I have never been so sick

I was awake all night. Even when I went to bed. I couldn't sleep. My stomach began to ache. I didn't know what to do.
''I don't know what to do, what's going on?'' I asked myself. I felt like the whole world was spinning around me. I had a headache too and I felt dizzy.

Suddenly my stomach began to ache so much then I really wanted to vomit so I did. The blanket was dirty.
I wanted to go and wake Mama and tell her immeditely but I didn't want her to get so worried so I took care of myself.

I roused out of bed and headed to the kitchen. I drank a glass of water. I headed back to my room to change the blanket cover. I looked at my watch, it was 1am. I went to the toilet to wash my hands.
Finally I stepped back to my room and set my alarm at Fajir time. I  dozed off.
At Salatul Fajir I prayed to myself to be better and I prayed to everyone I know.
After I woke up in the morning I told everyone about what happened to me that night.

The mysterious phone call

I woke up in the middle of the night from a phone call. I sneaked out of my room and answered it.
''Hello?'' I said.
''Can I speak to your mother?'' said the voice.
I checked on mama, she was sound asleep. Then I went to the phone and told this person that she was sleeping.

I still didn't recognise the voice.
''Who is this?'' I asked.
''I'm Anne Wilson and I work in a paper shop,'' answered the voice.
''But look, this is urgent, I need to speak to your mother,'' Anne went on, '' I need her to give me her phone number.''
''But Miss Wilson, it's in the middle of the night now, my mum will call you back later in the morning when she wakes up. Can you please not disturb us again in the middle of the night with your phone call. We really need to sleep,'' I said.
''Well, see if I care,'' she said then the line went dead.

A True Friend

This is my story of how I met up with this girl and how we became best friends. I'm August and I'm 13 years old. I'm an only child I live with my parents in a beautiful house. But it started to get tedious because I had no friends next door to play with and I wasn't allowed to play in our garden because I would disturb the neighbours. I had no friends at that time before I met up with this girl. There was this boy who I always sit next to in class. He's so boorish to me and he always throws his pencils at me whenever I talk to him.

One day I was reading a book called 'popular girls' and I finished this book so I had no other books to read so I asked my parents if they could take me to the bookstore.
''I'm sorry August, but we haven't got time to take you now, we're busy,'' mum said shaking her head.
''But mum, I haven't got any books to read, I have to go now, please, please, please,'' I begged.
''August, don't be silly, listen to your mother and stop wasting our time,'' Dad said.
''But Dad,I've got nothing to do.''
''Well okay, we'll take you to the book fair tomorrow,'' mum declared. I cheered and jumped in excitement.

The next day I got dressed and headed to school. My teacher is called Miss Green. She is a young lady with brown hair and brown eyes. She always wears high heels in class. She's kind but very strict.
''August, did you do your homework?'' she asked me.
''Well yeah, I only did some of them,'' I replied.
I handed my homework to her. She raised her eyebrows. I was afraid she was going to shout me so I nearly blubbered.

After school, mum picked me up and took me to the book fair. They were selling new novels. I bought about two books which are, 'Best friends, by Jacqueline Wilson' and 'Vicky Angel by Jacqueline Wilson'.
I was paying my books I saw a blond girl standing beside me. She wore red glasses, pink tshirt and a red skirt. One of the books she had was the same one I've just got now. I paid my cash. I looked at the blond girl. She smiled a bliss smile. I smiled back. We looked like we knew each other. We shook hands.
''Hi, I'm Lily Rose,'' said the girl.
''I'm August Blue,'' I said.
''That's the same book I've just got!''
She wasn't shy at all when she met me. We finally became best friends. Lily had moved to my school. She sat beside me. The boy who threw pencils at me was finally out of my sight. Lily was affable with other students so everyone liked her.

I woke up the next morning and had my breakfast.
''Your best friend Lily is going to move in with us,'' mum announced. I cheered.
Five minutes later, I saw lots of suitcases and bag packs. There was Lily at my bedroom window. I waved at her and she waved back. We finally became neighbours. We visited each other and had a sleepover at my house. We got along and we never ever had a fight.

Letter Writing Informal

Dear Sarah,
I have had a big problem at school. In music class I'm always failing because I never practise playing my recorder properly. That's because I'm not that good in music. My music teacher is very strict because if we never practise and keep on failing he fires many of us so that we should not come to his class again.

The problem is I'm not allowed to practise playing my recorder at home because my family get distracted and they start to put their hands over their ears. So maybe I should practise when I'm alone in the house. But it disturbs my neighbours so I should go somewhere quiet to play. My teacher always keeps on saying, ''you should try your best.'' I am! But I keep on making big mistakes. We did a music test to see who could play better. In my report card I always get c's and f's. My mum took me to the music store so that I could try playing other instruments as well. I tried playing the piano but it was better than the recorder. I made about 20 mistakes. I played the piano in music class. I got a c for that. But still I should've tried my best.
I can't wait till you read this letter. Please reply soon and miss you a lot!
Your friend
Huda
P.s. I heard that you are very good at music. Please advise me what to do and help me out in playing my instruments.

Green Tea

This was the delicious drink I've ever  tasted in my life. The first time I drank and made it was in Madina. My mom and my oldest sister drinks it. We drink it everyday after each meal when we are feeling full. There are two flavours which is lemon and mint. We can manage without green tea if we don't have it. Most of the time we drink the mint flavour. We had the Lipton, Rabee and Twinings. Twinings was the best one I've ever tasted. Whenever we're feeling full I make us green tea. Some people put sugar on it but we don't because it tastes better without sugar. I'm going to teach you how to make green tea. Here are the simpliest steps.
  1. Pour water into the kettle and press the button to boil it. Wait 3 minutes for it to boil.
  2. Take out a cup or a mug.
  3. Place a teabag on the cup.
  4. Pour the hot water on the cup.
  5. Wait for about 2 to 3 minutes for the teabag to brew with the water.
  6. Drink and enjoy the delicious taste of the green tea!
If you don't know how to make green tea follow those 6 steps. If you do you already know those steps.

The World's Naughtiest Girl

Once there was a girl called Ruwayda who was only 8. She lives with her parents and her two sisters called Shamail and Hadeel. Shamail was 14 and Hadeel was 10. Ruwayda was a very spoilt, stubborn and selfish.
She's also a snob and she just thinks she's so smart and cute. She's also very rude to her parents and she only had a few friends. She doesn't like school and homework, also very lazy and gets f's in her exams. The teacher was always complaining about her behaviour at school. She never cooperates with the class, loses her books on purpose and never listens in class. At home when she's free she doesn't use her spare time properly. She always wasted her time only watching television and playing computer games for like 2 hours.
She has her own room with her own laptop, television and wardrobe. She doesn't even care what she wears.
She already has a lot of clothes and she always wears the same clothes, not only the same one but clothes that she's not supposed to wear.

She also throws tantrums. Sometimes, her mother or sisters pick out the clothes for her that she doesn't want to wear but she has to, she disagrees and wears something that is unsuitable for her.
''Ruwayda, don't that dress is unsuitable for you to wear at the mall,it's only for occasions, wear something casual,'' her mother was saying. Ruwayda groaned and never listened.

She's also a troublemaker and always fights with her sisters. At her spare time when she had nothing to do, she lied on her tummy. Shamail walked past and when she saw Ruwayda lying on her tummy she did an angry frown at Ruwayda and told her about lying on her tummy is very bad for her stomach. Ruwayda made a face at Shamail and still didn't obey her sister's rules. Shamail ran to her mother and told her what Ruwayda did to her. Her mother was very angry so she came to Ruwayda's room and told her off.
At breakfast, lunch and dinner she never eats and drinks politely. Whenever some food that she hates is handed to her she makes a disgusted face.
If you ever have a sister like Ruwayda you should be ashamed.

Jokes and Funny Stories

What do you call two banana peels?
A pair of slippers!
What do you get when you cross two figures?
A number made out of candy!
What did the parrot say to the carrot?
I'm gonna eat you!

Once there was a man who was very poor.
He always had a monster munch that talk.
One day he said to them, '' Please, let me eat you, I'm starving!''
''No!'' said one monster, ''if you eat us, we'll put a wrapper around your mouth!''
The man took out a knife and began chopping them into half then he opened his big mouth  like a lion and ate them. So those monsters didn't scare him anymore, not even did he have nightmares about them!

Hijab

Once upon a time there was a girl called Batool who was only 8 years old and she was turning 9 in June.
One day Batool was reading a book about a girl who has already worn hijab. Her birthday was next month. She was wondering what change would be in her and wishes she wanted to make. Her mom told her,
''Batool, you'll be turning 9 next month and we will not just have a birthday party but a Takleef party and you'll be wearing hijab. Now  what I want you to do is write invitations then give them to all of your muslim friends. They will be lots of presents for you and surprises.  While you go to your friend's house, I am going to take a trip to the store to buy some party supplies.''
The next day at school, Batool gave the invitations to all of her friends. She had 8 friends and only 7 of them wore hijab but there was one without hijab. Their names were; Zahra, Noor, Huda, Nada, Aminah, Fatima, Maryam and the one without hijab was Samira. They looked at their invitation then at Batool. They were captivated because they'd never been to a Takleef party before.
''Wow, I can't wait to see you wear hijab after your Takleef party, I wonder how you'll look like with the hijab,'' said her best friend, Aminah.
''I'd never wore hijab in my whole life, prayed, been to the mosque or fasted every day in Ramadan,'' said Batool.
''Then you'll have to wear hijab everywhere, even when they are visitors at your house, who are men,'' declared Huda.
''You'll have to go to Friday prayers every week in the mosque,'' said Maryam.
''And fast everyday in Ramadan, it's wajib,'' added Fatima.
The bell rang. '' Got to go, see you after school,'' declared Noor.

Six hours later, after school Batool's mom was at the gate. So Batool and her friends went in the car.
Batool's mom  dropped them at Aminah's house and then she headed to the store to get some party supplies for Batool's Takleef party.
The girls had so much fun at Aminah's house. They ate popcorn and watched a movie called 'The Secret Life of Animals', listened to Anasheed and played hide and seek.
An hour later, Batool's mom was at the door so Batool had to go home and help her mom get everything ready. She cleaned the house, setted the table and hung up the balloons.
There was a knock at the door. Batool went to get it, it was Aminah and her mom. She was holding a present shaped like a jewel box. She gave it to Batool but she didn't get a chance to thank her so she decided to thank her later after she opens her presents.
Ten minutes later, Batool's friends were all there so the party was ready to begin. Batool's mom played the Anasheed on the tape. Everyone, including Batool began to dance like crazy. Suddenly, they were all starving so they went to the table. At the table there was a chocolate and in the whipped cream it said 'Happy Birthday and Takleef Batool' there was a pack of chocolate chip cookies, a pack of chips and 9 party hats.
Everyone got a slice of cake and wore their party hats. Everyone ate everything so there was only a few food left and there were crumbs lying on the floor everywhere.
Five minutes later, it was Batool's present opening session so she unwrapped the presents.
Aminah got her a watch, Maryam ,a princess doll, who also wore hijab, Samira, a hijabish red shirt, Noor, a Quran book, Huda, a white hijab, Nada, a prayer mat, Fatima, a duaa book and Zahra an abaya.
Batool thanked them all and said,''You're my best friends I ever had!''

The next day Batool wore her white hijab that Huda had given her to school. Batool's friends liked seeing Batool wear hijab. Nobody teased her the way she looks.

School

School is a place where children are taught. We all know that, right? We all know why we're going to school is because we want to learn new stuff. We want to make friends.
What I like about school is it's fun. I get a lot of homework. I think homework is good for the brain because it teaches me good tips. I don't want to waste my time watching television, eating, sleeping and spending my time on facebook. I also like going to assemblies and my favourite part of it is the certificates and awards because I can't wait to read out my merit to see how well I've done throughout the school term. My favourite subject is Science and favourite part is the experiments because I like investigating stuff.

What I dislike about school is the bullying, fighting and other problems. Another thing is at recess time some students don't sit down when they are eating and they throw the rubbish in the ground. I can't deal with this and teachers always asks the students to pick up the trash and they sometimes don't listen and they are also some other students throwing their food without any reason this is wasting and it is not allowed in the Islamic culture. They sometimes talk when they are not supposed to and it really annoys me and the teachers have to deal with this. I also don't like in Ict when we are free and we can play games one student puts the speaker very loud, it's  very annoying and I can't concentrate on my work. I know they are headphones in the computer lab, why don't they just use them? Last but not least is the bathroom. Whenever I go in it's very dirty and I always smell something very disgusting. I don't know what to do and I can't get out. I really need it.

Huda throws a a tantrum

Narrator: One day Huda and Mama were in Borders, they were selling new novels and Mama wanted to buy a new Arabic novel. That was when this trouble began.
Huda: Mama, can I have this book called 'Sleepovers by Jacqueline Wilson', please?
Mama: No way 7abibti, you have so many books to read and I'm sorry this book is too expensive.
Huda: But mama(bursts into tears) WAAH,I WANT THIS JACQUELINE WILSON BOOK NOW!
Mama: NO!( all the kids laugh at Huda and Mama drags her out of the store and takes her to her room in their house, Huda is still bawling and wailing in her room).
Huda: NOW IT'S TO LATE,I CAN'T GET THAT JACQUELINE WILSON BOOK!( Khamael walks by, she has never seen Huda act like this before).
Khamael: What's wrong?
Huda: Mama said I threw a lot of tantrums and I never got this Jacqueline Wilson book.( Mama comes in)
Mama: Huda, this is your final warning,we're going to take a trip to the bookstore again tomorrow. This time you're going to be on your best behaviour, promise?
Huda: I promise.
Narrator: The next day Mama and Huda go to Magrudy's. Huda spots a book.
Huda: Mama, can I have this book called 'Lola Rose' by Jacqueline Wilson this time, pleeease?
Mama: No! I told you have too many books to read.
Huda: But(starts crying again), WAAAH,I WANT THAT JACQUELINE WILSON BOOK,PLEEEASE!
Mama: Huda please, cut it out,you promised  yesterday you'd behave.
Huda: BUT MAMA!( the same kids laugh at her again, Mama drags her out of the store and she is sent to her room again).
Mama: I AM REALLY DISAPPOINTED HUDA BY YOUR BEHAVIOUR. YOU BROKE YOUR PROMISE!( Huda is still sobbing).
Mama: Tonight we're going to the majlis, your punishment is that you can't go with  us and no Tv for a week.
Huda: WHAT? THIS IS SO UNFAIR,YOU DON'T EVEN CARE ON WHAT I WANT!
Mama: I do care 7abibti, but I don't want to waste my money buying you each book every day( Huda still disagrees, she stops crying).
Narrator: At night Mama,Khamael and Ghadeer got dressed and they went to the majlis so Huda was left alone in the house. She was very sad and bored. Mama had given her chores to do which is washing the dishes, cleaning and making the beds. Huda was soon finished with her chores.
Narrator: The next week Huda's punishment was over. She can watch tv. She was happy and free at last.
Mama: Huda, dress up,we're going out to the restraunt then we'll go to the bookstore to buy you the book that you wanted, happy now?(Huda nods her head in agreement and jumps in her bed in excitement).
Narrator: At last Huda got the book that she wanted which is 'Lily Alone by Jacqueline Wilson'. They finally went to the restraunt and ate a yummy meal.

Lost in the Bush

Once upon a time there was a girl called Lisa. She lives in Catersburgh in a cottage with her friends who are; Jane, Alice and Mary. Lisa is 8 and she's got brown eyes and dark brown hair and her best friend is Jane, who's the same age as Lisa, has yellow hair and blue eyes. Her close friends are Alice and Mary, who are 10.
They both have red hair and blue eyes.

One day Lisa and her friends decided to go hiking in the park but Lisa said they should just go cycling.
Everyone agreed to this so they went cycling.
''Hey everyone, look, there's that bush over there, let's go and hide,'' said Mary. So they went.
It was an inscrutable place and Lisa hasn't hidden in this bush before.
They wanted to play hide and seek so Mary was it and everyone went flogging on the side of the bush.
Where shall I go and hide? This place looks negligible to me, Lisa thought.
She was heroic so she hid under a tree next to the hills. She hindered to the tree on one hand and the other hand she put it onto her hips.
Suddenly, Lisa heard a shout coming towards her.
''What's wrong?'' Lisa asked.
''Mary found us, we wanted to get back but now we're lost and doomed,'' Alice cried. It was a sunny day and all the girls were sweating and their faces were mottled.
'' I don't know what we're going to do now, we can't just stand there in the sun we have to find our way home,'' Jane said shaking her head.

At last they found a better way to go back. They climbed those two hills.
''Let's go get some ice cream,'' said Mary happily.
So off they went. Lisa ordered a chocolate sundae, Jane ordered vanilla,Mary ordered Lemon and mint and Alice ordered Strawberry ice cream.  They all sat and munched their ice creams blissfully.

Lonely Birthday

Hi,my name is Alex and I'm turning 8 tomorrow so I'm going to have a birthday party and I will invite all of my friends so now I'm writing invitations.
I have a sister called Alice who's only 4. She's really brutal to me and I abominate her because she's really annoying and I'm absent-minded and can't do my homework with her around. My mum and dad don't really care about my birthday and they make me wear damp clothes to every party.

''Mom,I can't wear this stupid jacket everyone will laugh at me,'' I whined.
''Don't worry Alex,it'll look fine on you,'' Mum replied.
''But mom-''
''Don't argue with me,now do as you're told!''
I really hate it when my mom makes me wear clothes to school that are incompatible. We live in Crown City and our school is called the Mighty Mountain Elementary School. My best friends are Maria,George,Jenna and Fern. But I really hate Arthur,Molly and Shelley. They're bullies and I hate Shelley the most because he is a big bully and always gives me a big punch. I gave my invitaions to all of my classmates.
They looked at the invitations then at me. They were debatable either to go or not.
''Well, well, well, now we've got a birthday boy here who's having a birthday party tomorrow,'' said Arthur.
''I'm sorry Alex, but we've got two parties to go to,'' said Maria.
''What? I'm not going to those parties anyway and it's my birthday so you should come!'' I cried.
George and Jenna felt sorry for me.
''We're sorry, but your house is too far,'' said George.
Fern shook her head and said I should just spend my time alone.

My family don't care about me and they haven't bought me any presents and there's no cake. I sat there lonely and sang 'Happy Birthday' to myself. I burst into tears because no one loves me and cares about me. I read a book and played with my toys.

The next morning I woke up and hurried to school.
''Hey Arthur, look, there's this birthday boy again,'' sneered Shelley.
They both laughed then Molly came in and was involved too.
''Hey birthday boy, did you have a nice party,'' teased Molly.
''Of course not,'' I answered furiously.
''I hope you didn't sneak out of your house and buy presents for yourself then you'll be in big trouble,'' said Arthur.
I waved to my friends. They were abashed for not coming to my birthday party.
They did a surprise party for me and I felt captivated because I never had this fun party before.

The World's Worst Student

There's a student in my class called Sam and he's as snotty as a rat. He knits his jumpers and cracks his pencil as if his pencil is like a  cookiemaster.

He's so insolent and he goes on about his homework that has pumped and bumped like a balloon.
When he grumpy,he stamps his feet as if he went to a gloomy party and all of the ghosts gobble him up and think he tastes crunchy like a crispbowl.

He's so nutty when he bellows at his friends like a bull holding a rusty stick. He yells so harshly that all the classroom can crumble like a group of fruit pie

His writing is so scrummy as a chocolate broomstick. If you've ever been in my class you shall meet this crooked cram boy and he'll dive into you as if your stomach is like a huge bottle of water or lemonade.
Then he'll hit you with his pencil made out of chocolate sticks that he gulps every morning break.
If you've ever met this boy before, he's my worst student I've ever had!
